Grab your scented candles and get ready for a magical makeover from teenage geek to gorgeous Greek. We’re armed with lipstick, high heels, pop tunes, and a stack of magazines – let’s go, girls!

With music, mythology, and 90s movie tropes, this patriarchy-smashing new show asks: what would you sacrifice to become beautiful? And what is it really like to be the face that launched a thousand ships?

The original Helen Project, co-written with Megan Cohen, was supported by DIVAfest & EXIT Theatre San Francisco in May 2013.

An immersive experiment with the modular text co-written by Megan Cohen and Amy Clare Tasker. Featuring San Francisco actors Misti Boettiger, Sarah Moser, Ariane Owens, Roneet Aliza Rahamim, and Lily Yang. Dramaturgy by Maura Halloran.

FACE TO FACE FESTIVAL 2014

Featuring Angela Bull, Rachel Handshaw, Anna Martine, Georgina Panton, Kandy Rohmann, Serafina Salvador, and Pearl Mackie in a multi-Helen edition of the modular build-your-own-Helen-of-Troy play text. Co-directed by Sharon Burrell.

SOLO EDITION 2017/18

A new script inspired by previous versions of The Helen Project, developed at Invererne Creative Residency and scratch nights at the Canal Cafe Theatre, Theatre Utopia, and Canvas Cafe & Creative Venue.
